We completed a garage conversion and added a single storey rear extension to this modern looking townhouse in Enfield, in order to create a large open plan area to the rear.

The main challenge of the project was to ensure the rear extension blends in with the existing house and looks like it was always part of the original build, in order to minimise the impact on the estate. This has a tiled pitched roof to match the main roof and all the new fenestration are designed to be in keeping with the existing windows on the rear elevation, with the addition of 4No rooflight for extra natural light to flood the open plan area.

As part of the building works, we created a full width curved decking with luxury boards and integrated up lights to provide a pleasant link between the rear extension and the garden - a smaller decking section was also built to the rear of the garden to provide a sitting area.
